The year 2009 was a difficult year for InText, but our company proved to be able to focus on finding and implementing crucial solutions. They would secure stable operation in the tough times of the world economy.
Victories that are cheap are cheap. Those only are worth having which come as the result of hard fighting.
Henry Ward Beecher
In the first half of the year the market situation was not inspiring and our company did not expect to be as successful as in 2008. Analysis of the results for H1 showed that negative trends can be reversed by optimization of each and every process inside the company. This approach allowed to find the resources required for further growth of our company and strengthening its market position. And so we seized our chance. Optimized business processes, a more effective motivation system, continuous employee development - these are the levers which enabled us to reorganize inner resources and grow in the difficult external environment.
Surely, smart internal organization of translation process is not enough for successful growth of the company. The key driver is customer relationship. InText is a customer-oriented company, and we have always committed ourselves to high industry standards and service levels which meet our clients' expectations and even exceed them. Surely, it is impossible without any feedback. 2009 customer opinion survey was of great help to us. We are grateful for all the responses which allowed us to see the company from outside and analyze what we saw.
Diversification is yet another driver of growth and strengthening of our market position. In 2009, we added new language pairs to our profile. We have successfully completed a number of projects of translation into Georgian, Kazakh, Belarusian and Romanian languages. The database of our suppliers now includes translators from Swedish and Dutch. Nonetheless, our key languages remain Ukrainian and Russian, as we have the required expertise and reliable and highly qualified suppliers for such jobs.
Last year, our client base expanded as well. Today, it has nearly 250 companies, 136 of which are our regular customers.
The implemented changes allowed us to repeat the success of 2008. We completed 6,270 projects. As a comparison, the record 2008 brought us 6,380 jobs. Taking into consideration the negative trends of 2009, it is a great result for our company.
In 2010, InText plans to keep working on our business process optimization and maintain the steady growth of our company.
As always, we strive to win trust of our clients and succeed beyond their expectations in the field of translation services.
